2010 Dance & Fundraiser
This event will be held on Friday, April 16, 2010 at the Centennial Oaks Golf & Country Club in Waverly.
What a great event this will be! Last year, we raised
over $97,000 to alleviate hunger and poverty around
the world.
2010 is sure to be our best year yet. The Bill Shepherd Combo will play from 8 to 11 and it is sure to be an unsurpassed evening of
bounty and music. However, the main attraction may be the
100+ items of incredible value in the auction. This
year's top prize is a vacation in Florida or a timeshare week anywhere in the U.S. Canada, Mexico or the Caribbean!

Our Second Annual Charity Golf Tournament; 2010!
After a tremendously successfu initial effort, Self-Help is proud to announce that dates have been set for the 2010 event. Mark June 4-6 (Friday through Sunday) on your calendars. While many of the popular features like the raffle, auction and T-shirt and poster sales have been retained, the Committee -- headed by Ted Waitman -- is busy planning new activities. This year an entire weekend is being built around the Saturday afternoon 18-hole Golf Tournament! The Hooters Calendar Girls will make an appearance, as well.
Potential activities include a 9-hole FUN Golf Tournament on Friday and a Family Picnic and Kid's Fair at a Waverly park.

2009 -- Our Busiest Year Ever!
Three events have occupied Self-Help's calendar this
year. We had our largest Fundraiser
ever in April and our inaugural Charity Golf Tourney
in June. 36 foursomes helped us raise over $20,000.
It was a huge success thanks to our sponsors, The
Fainting Goat, United Beverage, Roling Motors and
Centennial Oaks. Special kudos go to the Tournament
Chair, Ted Waitman. In August, 125 faithful showed up to dance the night away to celebrate our 50th Anniversary. Here's to 50 more!
