Young Ghanaian farmers want to stay on the farm, but lack the skills to raise small animals and other products to increase their income. Help us build and furnish a training center to provide six months of training for each farmer in the proper care of poultry, rabbits, goats, mushrooms, snails and beekeeping to increase income for their family. Land donated by local Ghanaian chiefs will be developed to build the training center, which will welcome farmers - from all over the Kumasi region - to learn more labor and environmentally efficient farming techniques and animal husbandry.

The center will provide hands-on classes by trained staff. The purpose of this training center is ultimately to educate rural populations and grow small businesses that focus on agriculture. There is significant need in Ghana and Africa for increased production from farmers to prevent widespread famine and poverty. The training centers will directly combat these threats and have already proved successful in Nicaragua. In five years, 2,500 farmers will learn how to successfully raise animals and products to generate more income.
